Code of Conduct

UEL members must adhere to the following code of conduct:

  • Always put the interests of the client first
  • Keep up to date with employment law developments
  • Never act against the interests of other member firms
  • Never attempt to poach clients of other member firms
  • Treat fellow members with courtesy and respect
  • Collaborate with other members to benefit clients
  • Deal with referrals promptly and courteously
  • Apply the highest standards of professional service
  • Acknowledge referrals and thank the referring firm
  • Comply with the rules set down by their regulatory body
  • Apply reasonable hourly rates to clients referred
  • Report any breaches of this code of conduct to UEL
